Nairobi Swahili

June, 2005

Nairobi Swahili website This one-page website was designed to help Oloo, a struggling Swahili tutor living in the heart of Africa. After seeing the site, Oloo said, “Asante kubwa kama mimi” which, I’m told, means something close to “big thanks!” Since the site went live Oloo’s been getting lots of inquiries about tutoring and the site has been listed as a notable entry at CSS Import. Toos used: XHTML, CSS, Photoshop, and Dreamweaver.

Church Leaders Conference Poster

March, 2005

Awaken America Church Leaders Conference Poster This poster was created for Awaken America shortly after the redesign of their web site went live. They needed a poster to help spread the news about their upcoming Church Leaders Conference. The poster was designed for printing at 8.5" × 11" in order to give the client the optimal flexibility in choosing when and where to have them printed. It was also made into a PDF file and posted on their web site in order to allow attendees to join in the effort and share with friends. See larger version. Tools used: Photoshop and istockphoto.com.

Awaken America

February, 2005

Screenshot of Awaken America website This was a site I designed for a Christian political organization my brother started while in law school. It was also my first experience using strict XHTML for markup and CSS for layout. No tables here. Tools used: XHTML, CSS, Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, and PHP.

Update: Awaken America has been featured as an inspiring design on the design showcase website CSS Import.

Cincinnati Christian Schools

August, 2004

Screenshot of Cincinnati Christian website What better way to say thank you for a great education than with a fresh design for an outdated site. Unfortunately I finished it before I learned about the full power of CSS and the importance of web standards. The site was finished in the summer of 2004 and the current version is online at CincinnatiChristian.org. Tools used: Photoshop, Illustrator, and Dreamweaver.
